Back to Base Camp ⛺🧡

Two big lessons after eight family experiments—and the invisible threads connecting them.

Hi friends,

Eight family experiments in three weeks.
It’s been energizing—and, let’s be honest, a little intense (we did say we were aiming to be “ambitious”).

This week, we’re taking stock and making sense of what’s emerging.

In our ninth episode, we return to TMIT base camp ⛺—a space where we reflect together on the path thus far.
We talk through what’s working, what’s shifting, and the invisible threads tying it all together.

Two big themes rose to the surface:

1. Keep it simple. (“Floss one tooth.” 🦷)
We’ve seen how small things done consistently really do add up. Most of our experiments took just 25–50 minutes throughout the week. The less we over-engineer, the more we follow through—and the more it sticks.

2. Name the invisible forces. (“Make the implicit explicit.”)
Whether it’s money messages, stories of struggle, or values we hope to pass on—what we name, we can shape. That’s how we bring meaning to the forefront.

And now, we start to envision what comes next.
Specifically, the invisible systems that make our family feel safe, seen, and worthy.

We also share moments from our community that have moved us:

  • Kids are listening along with their parents (!) and asking for movement after dinner (!!)

  • Families are starting new rituals

  • Adults are finding the words (and courage) to speak what they’ve been feeling

There’s magic happening here, and we’re so grateful to be a part of it.

So here goes TMIT Episode 09: join us at base camp, and then get ready for our next climb. 🧡

With love,
Danielle + Greg
